AVEVA has announced that the office, which is situated in Powai, will be the company’s Indian hub for all sales and technical support, as well as housing a fully equipped training facility.
AVEVA is a company that specialises in providing engineering software for a range of industries, including the maritime sector. Its range of services includes naval architecture and hull design, equipment integration and an integrated shipbuilding service that draws on the company’s Digital Information Hub technology, which enables each shipyard function to have access to necessary materials and resources.
The company’s service offerings are available to shipbuilders, offshore industries involved in oil & gas exploration and renewables, and naval procurement agencies.
In relation to the opening of the company’s Indian office, Evgeny Fedotov, Senior Vice President, Russia, India & Middle East, AVEVA, said that the “new office will play a key role in our expansion plans for India, strengthening our presence here and increasing our market share in the region.”
Navtej Garewal, SVP Head of India, AVEVA, also said: “The training centre at our new office will provide software training courses across the AVEVA portfolio for all of our customers. We will continue to offer on-site training courses to meet customers’ specific needs as part of our commitment to extending our presence and investment in the Indian market.'
The news of AVEVA’s expansion into India comes after Goa Shipyard Ltd (GSL), a shipyard specialising in the construction of offshore coastal vessels for the Indian Navy and Coast Guard, revealed its intentions to increase and modernise its existing shipbuilding facilities and infrastructure.
